Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible non-surgical pediatric orthopedic physician at our brand new outpatient orthopedic facility. The successful candidate will join the state’s only pediatric health system and play a key role in shaping the future of children’s health in our region. 

Program Info & Highlights: 

Join a dynamic team at Arkansas Children’s of 15 physicians, two non-operative sports physicians and three advanced practice practitioners,(pulled from chief position) in providing nationally ranked and recognized care to patients statewide and regionally. Other highlights include: 

• Focus on non-operative management of pediatric and adolescent orthopedic acute conditions and injuries
• Develop and lead a high-volume, daily walk-in clinic in our new outpatient facility, Champions Pavilion
• Additional opportunity to help develop and oversee additional walk-in clinic sites across the region
• Serve as a frontline provider for initial evaluation and work-up of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions
• Close collaboration with pediatric orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, other non-operative orthopedic providers and primary care providers
• Opportunities to develop outreach programs with local schools, clubs and community organizations
• Participation in teaching medical students, residents  and fellows through UAMS
• Optional involvement in clinical research and program development

Qualifications: 

• M.D. or D.O.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedics
• Eligible for medical licensure in Arkansas
• Fellowship training required in one of the following:
• Non-Operative Orthopedics
• Non-Operative Sports Medicine
• Pediatric Emergency Medicine with strong MSK focus
• Preferred candidate will have experience or strong interest in pediatric/adolescent sports medicine and MSK care. As well as a passion for access-driven care delivery models, including walk-in clinics
