Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible non-surgical pediatric orthopedic physician at our brand new outpatient orthopedic facility. The successful candidate will join the state’s only pediatric health system and play a key role in shaping the future of children’s health in our region.
Program Info & Highlights:
Join a dynamic team at Arkansas Children’s of 15 physicians, two non-operative sports physicians and three advanced practice practitioners,(pulled from chief position) in providing nationally ranked and recognized care to patients statewide and regionally. Other highlights include:
Focus on non-operative management of pediatric and adolescent orthopedic acute conditions and injuries
Develop and lead a high-volume, daily walk-in clinic in our new outpatient facility, Champions Pavilion
Additional opportunity to help develop and oversee additional walk-in clinic sites across the region
Serve as a frontline provider for initial evaluation and work-up of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions
Close collaboration with pediatric orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, other non-operative orthopedic providers and primary care providers
Opportunities to develop outreach programs with local schools, clubs and community organizations
Participation in teaching medical students, residents and fellows through UAMS
Optional involvement in clinical research and program development

Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedics
Eligible for medical licensure in Arkansas
Fellowship training required in one of the following:
Non-Operative Orthopedics
Non-Operative Sports Medicine
Pediatric Emergency Medicine with strong MSK focus
Preferred candidate will have experience or strong interest in pediatric/adolescent sports medicine and MSK care. As well as a passion for access-driven care delivery models, including walk-in clinics
