The Columbia University Program in Physical Therapy is seeking an exceptional individual for a Clinic Manager in the Academic Clinical Faculty Physical Therapy Practice. The mission of this faculty practice is to provide direct clinical care, oversee implementation of best clinical practices, facilitate professional development among the physical therapy clinical and academic faculty of the future, and foster a collegial learning environment for clinicians, residents, and physical therapy students.

The Physical Therapy Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is nationally recognized and diverse, comprised of 16 core faculty with adjunct faculty from Columbia University Medical Center, the NYC environs and nation-wide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical care to patients with a broad range of orthopedic or sports-related diagnoses?
Oversee?the overall daily operations of the faculty practice location (TBD), including quality patient care,?customer service, and the growth/development of physician or community relationships
Assist the Director in marketing, expanding, and fostering the referral relationships between clinical physical therapists and Columbia University physician/nursing practices & non-Columbia University physician/nursing practices that may be local to the location of the clinical faculty practice
Oversee clinical mentorship / clinical education of DPT students, residents, and fellows
Oversee and manage clinical purchases
Develop, implement, and coordinate clinical faculty in-house continuing education / in-services schedule (one person task ? alternating years/months for organization, location)
Assist the Director in developing and maintaining policies and procedures of the clinical faculty practices
Oversee and manage the maintenance of all clinical equipment and practice space
Develop and implement new programs that target specialty populations (i.e., RunLab, Group Classes, Dancers) with collaboration from the Director
Promote a collegial learning environment that integrates and develops research projects for clinical faculty and PT Orthopedic residents
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Faculty Practices
Coordinate vacation schedules / reconcile time sheets of practice assistants of clinical faculty and practice assistants / annual reviews
In addition, the continuation in this role is dependent on:
Maintaining your New York State physical therapy license
Minimum Degree:
DPT with Clinical Certification
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal physical therapy
Board-certified Orthopedic?Clinical Specialty
Current New York State Physical Therapy licensure
