Staff Research Associate II
The Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal Imaging Lab (BMIL) is dedicated to the investigation of biomechanics associated with lower extremity orthopedic pathology. We use 3D motion analysis, quantitative MRI, multi modal dynamometry and EMG to understand predictors of disease progression. The goal of this lab is to identify and evaluate potential prevention and rehabilitation tools for the treatment of patients with lower extremity orthopedic pathology. Subjects will be recruited for a longitudinal study (covering 5-8 year follow up) from our existing cohort and we will use novel, fully automated and translational methods to measure MRI-based measures of cartilage degeneration and determine the role of gait biomechanics on disease progression.
