The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires and is for a 100%, full-time employment (FTE). A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be consistent with fair market value and determined after taking various factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, % of FTE and board certification. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is seeking fellowship-trained Sport and Exercise Medicine physicians to join our collaborative team. The Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Center is home to 27 physicians, 16 Sports and Exercise Medicine physicians and 13 Orthopaedic Sports Medicine surgeons, working closely with physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and exercise physiologists.
We serve as the official healthcare providers for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Guardians, Kent State University, and Cleveland State University, and provide coverage for over 60 collegiate and high school teams, along with 15+ professional partnerships. A cornerstone of our program is the Global Peak Performance Center, a first-of-its-kind sports performance and training facility on the Cuyahoga Riverfront. This center supports both professional athletes and the broader community, offering state-of-the-art care for everyday athletes in Northeast Ohio.
We are seeking full-time, academically focused physicians who are Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, with a CAQ in Sports Medicine. Responsibilities include providing sports medicine care, covering high school and collegiate teams, and participating in research and educational initiatives.
Ideal candidates will have:
Fellowship training in Sports Medicine
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Proven experience in clinical care, research, team physician responsibilities, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and education
Significant research and writing experience (strongly preferred)
