								<description>Morgantown, West Virginia,  The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics  is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time  Pediatric   Orthopaedic Surgeon  (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) at the main campus in Morgantown, WV. This is a full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgery position in an academic setting. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of four pediatric orthopaedic surgeons and three PAs. &#xa0;The role offers flexibility for general pediatric orthopaedic practice and welcomes subspecialty interests in sports, neuromuscular, and/or limb deformity. Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidates must have completed an orthopaedic surgery residency program and a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship program. The candidate must be board certified/eligible in orthopaedic surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The WVU Orthopaedic Surgery Department has expertise in all sub-specialty areas of Orthopaedics, including spine, total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot and ankle, hand, pediatrics, trauma, and musculoskeletal oncology. The faculty are fellowship trained and respected nationally.&#xa0; The Department&#8217;s mission is to provide excellence in patient care in a collaborative environment. As part of a major academic teaching center, physicians have easy access to a full range of specialists. The  WVU Medicine Golisano Children&#39;s Hospital  opened in September 2022 and is the premier site in the state for primary and tertiary care of children. WVU Medicine Golisano Children&#39;s has a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy.&#xa0; It has a dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. The hospital includes a Pediatric Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Imaging Department, Heart Center, and Cancer Center. WVU Golisano Medicine Children&#39;s is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1. WVU Medicine  is West Virginia&#8217;s largest health system and the state&#8217;s largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care. Today, WVU Medicine has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. 								<description>Kansas City, Missouri,  The Department of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a full-time, pediatric sports medicine surgeon to join our program at a top-ranked children&#8217;s hospital.&#xa0; 
 Children&#8217;s Mercy Sports Medicine Center ( https://www.childrensmercy.org/departments-and-clinics/orthopedics/sports-medicine/ ) offers a full spectrum of world-class care for youth, adolescent, and young adult athletes in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of 2 orthopedic surgeons, 3 sports medicine physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, 40 athletic trainers, 15 physical therapists, a sports psychologist, and sports dietitians. In addition, the Orthopedic Surgery department includes 11 additional surgeons and one non-operative musculoskeletal physician with sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. Children&#8217;s Mercy Kansas City is the academic training site for numerous pediatric, family practice, and orthopedic residency programs in the Kansas City area. 
 The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery and have completed ideally both pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine fellowships or a pediatric orthopedic fellowship with significant sports exposure.
