The Department of Radiology is comprised of over 73 academically active faculty members and is the recipient of several multimillion-dollar NIH grants. We have an extensive research infrastructure for clinical and basic science faculty. The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment across the entire Health Science Campus located just east of downtown Los Angeles. Our sites of practice include Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, one of the largest safety net hospitals in the state, Keck Hospital of USC, a highly subspecialized tertiary/quaternary care academic medical center, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital, one of the original nine NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. A major strength of the USC DOR is the rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology across all of our clinical practice sites.
The Keck School of Medicine is a place of dynamic activity in patient care, scientific discovery, medical and bioscience education, and community service. The Keck School is also home to several research institutes, including the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute, the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine at USC, the USC Cardiovascular Thoracic Institute and the USC Institute for Global Health.
