Attending Physician, Primary Sports Medicine Service, Hospital for Special Surgery

The Primary Sports Medicine Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York seeks to add an experienced physician to our growing and dynamic service, based in Stamford and Westport, CT. The physician will be a member of the faculty of HSS Primary Sports Medicine and will collaborate with other physician and surgeon members at HSS. The physician will have an opportunity to work closely with experienced APPs as part of the HSS OrthoNow care team in New York City, providing same-day and next-day general orthopedic care for injuries and pain. APPs serve as the front line of evaluation and treatment, allowing you to focus on complex cases, procedure-based care, and guiding patient recovery plans - all within a dynamic and innovative care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive sports medicine care to patients of all ages
• Active role in the educational, academic, and administrative activities of the Primary Sports Medicine
• Participation in community outreach, injury prevention and return to sports programs
• Participation in team and sport event coverage
• The development of research projects, and collaboration in research is encouraged.

Compensation: Competitive package with base salary and productivity bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD required
• Current Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics
• Completion of a Fellowship in Primary Sports Medicine
• Current CAQ in Sports Medicine
