The Department of Radiology and Radiologic Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is recruiting for an exciting leadership opportunity within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging Section. The Section Chief is responsible for leading and growing the MSK service at the largest comprehensive research, teaching, and patient care health system in the mid-South region. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, our nationally ranked health system sees more than 3 million patient visits a year. Our faculty are at the forefront of making scientific discoveries, advancing clinical care, and training the next generation of health care professionals.
Position Summary:
Provide leadership and operational oversight of the musculoskeletal imaging service
Services provided to university hospital and five outpatient centers.
VUMC has a busy and growing Orthopedic Surgery practice including:
Level 1 trauma center, tertiary referral center
NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and NCCN Member Center

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience
Position Requirements:
Fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging or the equivalent
Hold an MD or equivalent degree
ABR eligible/certified
Eligible for TN license
> 5 years from completion of training
Prior leadership experience within an academic medical center preferred
Comfort/willingness to perform routine fluoroscopy/CT/US guided procedures
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and teach trainees and medical students
