This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at UNC-CH is seeking a research assistant to support investigators and staff on current and future studies. This position would primarily support two federally-funded studies testing a pain management intervention in adults presenting with musculoskeletal pain at UNC Emergency Departments and UNC OrthoNow. Responsibilities would include patient recruitment, enrollment, participant follow-up assessments, and data entry. The RA will also assist the study coordinator with preparation for annual meetings and will also help prepare/format tables and figures for publications, as well as other activities related to manuscript preparation. The RA will also contribute to other departmental needs such as patient recruitment for additional research studies, IRB submissions, data analysis, and grant submissions. Prior research experience including patient interaction, protocol development, and data management will be prioritized.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
