A Postdoctoral Research Associate is needed for a National Institutes of Health funded research project led by a senior investigator examining basic mechanisms of how redox signaling regulates cell senescence and the senescence associated secretory phenotype in joint tissue cells including articular chondrocytes. This position will be housed in the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center under the direction of Dr. Richard Loeser. The research involves basic cell culture studies for direct analysis of cell senescence and signaling proteins as well as studies in a mouse model of osteoarthritis.
