Summary of Duties:
In addition to the above job summary, other expectations include: writing manuscripts, presenting at lab meetings, journal club, seminars, and professional conferences. In addition, the postdoctoral scholar will have the opportunity to help graduate and undergraduate students develop their research interests and skills in a mentoring role.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a PhD degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, kinesiology, or a related field.
Experience in animal research with a strong biomechanical background, or those with a background in human biomechanics or physical sciences/engineering interested in exploring biomechanics using animal models.
Strong technical skills, including programming, anatomical analyses, and computational biomechanics.

Annual Salary: $52,704-$57,846 Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on December 31, 2023. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
