The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery has a national and international presence in orthopaedic research that is based on a broad representation of the varied subspecialties within this surgical field for treatment of problems in infants, adolescents, middle-aged and older individuals. The goal of the Orthopaedic Research Program is to develop fundamental knowledge to advance the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and diseases.
