The Division of Pediatric Sports Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist to join the team for a full-time position practicing 100% sports medicine.
The Division of Sport Medicine is a standalone department that is partnered closely with the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics which is ranked #11 by U.S. News and World Report. The Division of Pediatric Sports Medicine is comprised of more than 85 staff including, 10 fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians, 50 athletic trainers, 2 sports dieticians, 8 strength & conditioning experts and more than 15 research and administrative staff. The program provides care at 2 free-standing, Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Sports Medicine Centers and 7 other satellite clinic locations with on-site physical therapy, radiography, and lab services.
A new, 60,000 square foot, state of the art, dedicated clinical site for Sports Medicine and Orthopedics opened in 2024 to complement our 8 other dedicated Sports Medicine Centers and offices throughout the Columbus area. More information about our programs can be found at:
Applicants must have completed an accredited fellowship in Sports Medicine and have a CAQ, equivalent board certification or eligibility for sports medicine board certification from their respective primary specialties. Applicants should have strong clinical skills and a commitment to teaching and scholarly activity, including research.
Patients seen in the Division of Sports Medicine represent the entire gamut of sports medicine injuries so that applicants should ideally have training and experience to practice the full spectrum of pediatric-focused sports medicine. We are especially interested in growing our already established musculoskeletal ultrasound and dance medicine programs as well as build on our OMM services. We are an academic program that sponsors a highly competitive sports medicine fellowship and actively teaches for the NCH Pediatric Residency, other NCH fellowships, and for the OSU College of Medicine.
