5A is a fast-paced unit with 32 acute care beds. We specialize in adult Orthopaedic procedures, traumatic injuries including burn, along with acute and moderate care surgical patients. The surgical patient population can include general surgery, urology, colorectal, neurosurgery, otolaryngology and more. Our unit is a great platform for beginning your nursing career. We are proud of our strong nursing staff, robust Unit Based Committee, and the actions to streamline patient care through our Workload Committee.
