This licensed Athletic Trainer will enjoy working in the fast-paced Outpatient setting with Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeons. They will deliver direct patient care services within a team approach in conjunction with physician mid-level providers, physical therapists, athletic trainers and associated personnel.
Surgeon's clinic management
Scribing for the surgeon
Serve as a resource for questions regarding patient
Coordinate with the scheduling
Provide patient support
Prepare clinics (access previous notes and information for the surgeons)
Ensure efficient clinic flow
Duties as assigned within Athletic Training scope of practice
Community Outreach Coverage
Bachelors degree in athletic training or related health field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary
Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association
Current licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Michigan is necessary.
Must have current CPR and first aid certification
DME bracing experience
Community Outreach Coverage
Scribing experience
Physician clinic coordination
Completion of an Athletic Trainer Residency Program
Master's degree in Athletic Training, or related field
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
