We are seeking a talented and energetic R&D Scientist to join our team in a laboratory-based role to support the development of novel therapeutics for musculoskeletal diseases and disorders. The ideal candidate should be an accomplished researcher with hands-on expertise in biomedical research, who is looking for career growth in translational research. Background in the musculoskeletal system and related diseases and disorders is a plus.
Qualifications:
PhD in biological sciences, (bio-)engineering, or related fields with relevant lab experience
Strong background and technical expertise in molecular and cell biology and/or other relevant disciplines of experimental biology
Extensive experience with animal models/surgery, histological processing/staining, imaging and analysis
Previous research experience in cellular and oligonucleotide biology and therapeutics; experience in musculoskeletal disease pathology and pain behavior analysis is a plus
Motivated to find solutions for challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced, high functioning team environment
An excellent team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
S/he is expected to work in study design and execution, data generation, analysis and reporting in relevant areas of life science and therapeutics
Conduct rigorous scientific studies according to currently funded projects and emerging developments in the company’s pipeline using a variety of preclinical models (in vitro, in vivo, ex vivo, etc.)
Contribute to data interpretation, technical reports, manuscripts, protocol development and grant proposal writing; present data in team meetings
Play a significant role in laboratory management
Report directly to the Chief R&D Officer
