Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Provides indirect patient care in the ED.

·        Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff, and medical staff.

·        Implements directions from physicians and ER nursing staff.

Hours: Variable shift starts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Requirements:

·        High school graduate or equivalent with one (1) year experience in an acute care hospital.

·        Medical terminology course.

·        Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required).

·        Basic computer knowledge (required).

License/Certification:

·        BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
