The CRC will be responsible for coordinating study activities for multiple ongoing trials, including but not limited to motion analysis on patients with low back pain, muscle & bone quality analysis of MRIs, research using Apple Watch data to understand back pain flares, and movement analysis on patients receiving nerve blocks from clinicians at the Department of Orthopedics. Study activities include recruiting, screening and enrolling study participants onsite or remotely, using a variety of methods and platforms, such as Epic. The CRC will collect and manage data for the specified Electronic Data Capture (EDC), answer queries, and follow up with monitoring/audit visits as required by study protocols. The CRC will assist the PI and study team to develop and improve protocols. The CRC will assist with IRB submission and other regulatory documentation maintenance needed for each study supported. The Bailey Lab is a collaborative research environment where the CRC will be expected to work closely alongside not only the PI, but research collaborators such as Post-Docs, PhD Students, Medical Students, and Residents.
As a representative of both UCSF and the Bailey Lab, the CRC is expected to uphold UCSF PRIDE values, and to effectively and compassionately work with patients in the service of furthering our research so we can better understand, measure, and treat the issues that arise from musculoskeletal impairments.
The CRC will work under the direction of their supervisor in support of the Department PI, Dr. Jeannie Bailey. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will ensure successful implementation of and adherence to clinical research protocols regarding planning, administration, timeline management enrollment, participant engagement data collection and reporting. The CRC will demonstrate competence in clinical research skills, problem solving, priority setting and serve as a resource for others in the department for all aspects of conducting a clinical trial. Successful research coordination requires close interaction with patient care staff, research team members and study personnel at other sites. Study duties also include coordinating data & specimen collection in accordance with each respective study protocol, as well as ensuring compliance with UCSF and regulating agency policies. This includes but is not limited to collecting and reporting on study results; create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports; and coordinate project workflow with research team members. Critical duties include preparation, coordination and/or maintenance of regulatory documentation in the CHR system as well as all other reporting / compliance requirements.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $34.32 - $55.19 (Hourly Rate).
