Job Summary
The Nurse Practice Manager assumes fiscal responsibility through preparation of unit budgets, supports research, participates in both long and short term strategic planning, and assures patient advocacy. The Nurse Practice Manager is accountable to the Executive Director, Ambulatory Operations and Director of Ambulatory Nursing Practice.
The Nurse Practice Manager is responsible for the daily hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of assigned patient care areas, in order to provide quality, individualized patient care and support of Medical Center philosophies. Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
A valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction
Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
Master's degree required in nursing or other related field. If currently in Master's degree program, must complete and graduate within three years.
5 years of nursing experience
2 years of nursing management experience
Recent Clinical Operations experience
Recent Clinical Financial experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area.
Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.
Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area.
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.
Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification of field of practice (if appropriate) NE-BC or NEA-BC certification
Ambulatory care experience. Experience in surgical specialty clinics.
Previous procedure/surgical clinic experience

Work Environment
