The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is the newest University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. As a Rehabilitation Technician at Michigan Medicine, you will play an important role in supporting and assisting the multi-disciplinary team of therapist at the Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Center (CMC) at the Brighton Center for Specialty Care facility. You will assist therapist in treatment for a wide range of patients to maximize their health, function, and quality of life. In addition to providing direct patient care, you may also be responsible for light administrative duties to ensure we are able to perform proper treatment procedures for patients during their appointments.

You will prepare treatment areas, mobility equipment, exercise equipment, and/or ambulatory aids
You will assist patients with use of exercise equipment

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

This position requires extensive standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients
Prior experience working with patients in physical or occupational therapy
While the facility is open 24 hours, therapy clinic hours are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday through Friday. Scheduling may vary depending on shifts and patient needs.
