South Central Community Radiology Division

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine in partnership with Indiana University Health Physicians is seeking a radiologist to fill an open position in our Community Radiology Division covering IU Health South Central Region that includes Bloomington, Indiana.

This is a clinical track position with compensation that is competitive with private practice and allows participation in medical and resident education. Participation in research, while fully optional, is strongly supported by the department.

Excellent interpersonal skills are important in this role as well as a patient-focused approach. This opportunity includes helping to further develop the service line in a new geographic region while having the strength and support of Indiana's largest health system.

Clinical expertise is desired in plain film radiograph interpretation, body CT imaging, and general ultrasound. In addition, candidates would be responsible for performing fluoroscopic and routine image-guided body procedures. Advanced interventional radiology support is provided by a separate Interventional Radiology section.

Neuroradiology, body MRI, nuclear medicine, and cross-sectional musculoskeletal examinations are routinely interpreted centrally by subspecialists. Candidates with appropriate subspecialty training or experience would have an opportunity to incorporate some of these subspecialty studies within their case load.

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is a Regional Academic Health Center that allows candidates the ability to participate in the clinical, educational, and, optionally, the research pillars of the practice. The hospital is less than two years old and is a state of the art facility that provides cutting edge 21st century care to the patients living and working in the South Central Region of the state.
