The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time Neuropsychologist at the rank of Assistant Professor on the Non-Tenure track. This appointment will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Responsibilities include assessing patients, and teaching students and fellows in the highly competitive graduate clinical psychology program in Psychiatry. The successful candidate will join a research and clinical group specializing in cognitive aging and dementia. The candidate is encouraged to be a co-investigator in applications for extramural-funded research in primary progressive aphasia (PPA), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and/or Alzheimer’s disease dementia (ADD). The candidate should have demonstrated a track record in research productivity and publications in PPA, FTD, and AD Dementia with emphasis on longitudinal neuropsychological tracking. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient evaluation of older adults with cognitive disorders and dementia and individuals with young onset dementia in the multidisciplinary Neurobehavior and Memory Clinic of Northwestern Medicine and clinical supervision of pre- and postdoctoral trainees. In addition to teaching in the graduate program, faculty lecture to Psychiatry and Neurology residents and fellows in Behavioral/Cognitive Neurology in the Mesulam Center.

Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree from an accredited program with specialization in neuropsychology, a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology, a license to practice psychology in Illinois, and eligibility for/attainment of board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
