The post-doc would be in charge of undergraduate, graduate and medical students as well neurosurgery residents rotating through the lab. Our focus is to develop better ways of performing spinal fusion surgery to optimize bone healing and outcomes for patients. Projects range from basic science to translational with a focus on tissue engineering approaches. We collaborate with top caliber biomedical engineers who are also interested in tissue engineering approaches with a bone biology background. Additionally, we have developed a novel bone graft that is patent pending, but is the ideal carrier for bone growth factors and other
