Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine, a national leader in research, education, and clinical care, is announcing the search for Chair of the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a visionary leader to provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the Department, including education, research, and clinical care.
IU School of Medicine is the largest medical school in the country with more than 25,000 alumni and 3,000 learners on nine campuses across the state. This position is ideal for a collaborative and transformational leader who can build on existing strengths in the department and has the vision to expand research and educational functions through new programs aligned with the Department's mission statement. Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. Minimum qualifications include an MD, PhD or MD/PhD. Academic appointment type is open and will be determined based on academic credentials. The individual selected for this position must be a highly accomplished leader with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and change management skills, as well as demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding our core values, including promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
