Assistant/Associate Specialist - Brack Lab

The Brack Lab (https://bracklab.ucsf.edu/) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks a highly motivated, dynamic individual with a Master's degree for the position of Assistant/Associate Specialist. This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of ground-breaking image and analysis machine learning research in the field of tissue and organismal aging, biomarker development and assessment of the muscle system under the direct supervision of Dr. Andrew Brack in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery. Interested applicants must have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, an active interest in developing machine learning approaches to aging biology, and the capacity to communicate effectively regarding machine learning and imagine concepts to biologists and non-scientists.

What you'll achieve:
* Development and execution of machine learning algorithms for analysis of biological samples.
* Data management, analysis, and visualization.
* Administrative functions and maintenance of computational architecture.
* Work closely with a team of post-docs and other specialists.

Familiarity with imaging and biological research is essential. Experience with aging biology is highly preferred. Skills with writing, creative thinking and careful attention to detail are expected. A minimum one-year commitment is preferred.
