The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full time Psychiatrist to work within the Division of General Psychiatry. This position will be a full-time continuing appointment with the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor in the non-tenure Clinician-Educator track Responsibilities include clinical work within both the inpatient and outpatient setting in an urban, tertiary care medical center and expanding health system. Successful applicants will be dedicated to academic psychiatry and medical education and have a passion for treating a diverse patient population, have a strong clinical background with experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental disorders.
The Division of General Psychiatry provides psychiatric services to patients referred from or within the Northwestern Medicine Health System. Faculty in this Division are given a unique opportunity to develop programs and treat a patient population that aligns with their clinical and research interests. There are also several opportunities within trainee education at this time which could be combined with this clinical role. Minimum qualifications include Board certification or eligibility in adult psychiatry. Candidates with dual board certification in C-L, Neuropsychiatry, Addiction, Geriatrics, or Forensics, are highly encouraged to apply.
