The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for an orthopaedic surgeon with sports medicine, shoulder surgery, and clinical research subspecialty expertise.
The practice will provide diagnostic, interventional, and surgical management for patients with a variety of diagnoses, with a focus on shoulder and elbow arthroscopy and complex upper extremity sports medicine and shoulder surgery. The incumbents will be expected to participate in clinical research with a goal of research support from the NIH. Competitive applicants will have a strong track record in receiving grant support for research projects. The selected individuals will also be responsible for and provide an integral role to teach clinically relevant topics for residents as well as medical students and fellows. Both didactic and bedside teaching is required. The practice location will be primarily in Marin.
Requirements: All of the requirements must be met by the time of hire. * A valid California medical license will be required as a condition of employment * Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery * Completion of a fully accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program * Completion of a Sports Medicine and/or a Shoulder/Elbow Fellowship Program * For Associate level, evidence of academic teaching and publication record * Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.
