Physical Medicine and Rehab is looking for a dedicated healthcare professional who is interested in helping us provide outstanding care to our community, strengthen our healthcare services, and who will continue to help us grow. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Social Work, and Advanced Care Providers that all contribute to meet the needs of our most complex patients.
The Clinical Psychologist will support the Inpatient Rehab Unit at CRCH, as well as the newly established Brain Injury Center (BIC) located at the Institute for Orthopaedics and Neurosciences. While on the Inpatient service, the Clinical Psychologist will provide rehabilitation psychology services to patients who have been admitted to the unit. On BIC days in the Outpatient clinic, the Clinical Psychologist will work with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate a plan of care and focus on the management of our traumatic brain injury patients as well as other brain-related injuries seen within the BIC.
Education:Ph.D. in psychology (clinical psychology) including an APA-approved clinical psychology internship is required.
Experience:Experience preferred but not required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Licensed by Virginia by the Board of Medicine as a clinical psychologist or by the Board of Psychology as a Psychologist (Clinical), or in West Virginia by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists required.
Must have de-escalation training successfully completed within four months of hire and then maintained annually going forward when working in the inpatient environment.

Other Minimum Qualifications:Meets credentialing requirements. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Must have a commitment to continuing education.
