Position description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) and the Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego (www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body are jointly recruiting for a highly qualified Pediatric Physiatrist.
Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching, and research at Rady Children's Hospital and satellite clinics.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must meet the following criteria:
MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Completed an accredited physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training program.
Have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine subspecialty board eligible or certified.
