Performs of a variety of routine clerical duties in support of office operations.
Selects the correct process from several clearly prescribed steps.
Duties may consist of data entry, posting information to logs, typing labels and forms, maintaining filing systems, answering phones, greeting the public, copying material, delivering/tracking documents, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies and other clerical duties of a non-complex nature.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Scans consent forms within 24 hours of receipt pertaining pertinent patient information from outside facilities, handwritten documents from the clinic, work comp, disability, and Hand Therapy.
Creates new patient records as needed.
Scans, and sends a message to Access to schedule appointment.
Verifies patient name and medical record number on all records to be scanned.
Maintains paper file system for research forms that cannot be scanned.
Identifies loose material with no name or medical record number.
In fall 2018, UAB had a third consecutive year of record-high over all enrollment with 21,923 students, including its largest freshman class ever (2,299), with enrollment growth in every school on campus and in the acclaimed UAB Honors College.
