Under limited direction and in collaboration with Hospital and Corporate administration, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Legal staff and/or Compliance staff, as appropriate: Analyzes and prepares research contracts; Communicates with stakeholders regarding contract and contract process requirements and provides guidance as appropriate to Hospital administration to assist administration in compiling and submitting appropriate data; Coordinates review and approval of contracts in a format and manner consistent with Vanguard policies and procedures; Facilitates execution of contracts in a timely manner, assuring accurate contract terms and language; Maintains contract database and files; Tracks contracts to assure contract renewal or termination in a timely manner; Facilitates payments per contract terms; Develops and prepares reports as appropriate to facilitate communication to stakeholders; Assists in reviewing, identifying and/or rectifying contract disputes and deficiencies, including, without limitation, review of 1099 payments, payroll records and MOR schedules, as appropriate; and Assists with performance evaluations of employees and/or vendors under contract.
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. One or more years of experience in contract drafting, development and administration, financial contract administration, and/or legal services, preferably with experience in healthcare contracting and an understanding of legal terminology.
