What you will do-
You will partner with Transportation functional spend owners to deliver improved cost and service levels. You will lead and support supplier sourcing activities for assigned projects/commodities (e.g., carriers, 3PLs, corporate spend, consulting, capital projects, etc.). This is a hybrid role. The employee is expected to be physically present at a Stryker location on a cadenced basis but has the flexibility to work from.
Specific activities include:
Data collection and spend analysis
The RFx process (also known as go-to-market)
Implementation and continuous improvement
Drive supplier management/development activity
Support or lead ad-hoc projects as required
Work with functional spend owners and carriers to implement initiatives that drive improved performance
Work with cross functional teams to develop best in class strategic sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities in support of business objectives
Drive implementations of supplier and/or commodity strategy which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and sourcing analyses
Develop a contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce where applicable
Develop strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets
What you need-
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance, or related field, required; MBA -preferred
8+ years of relevant procurement working experience, with at least 5 years in a medium-large strategic procurement organization (or through large client work at a top-tier management consultancy), required
Sourcing/Supply Chain certifications (e.g., CPSM, Certified Professional in Supply Management), preferred
