The University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track, clinical faculty position at the assistant, associate, or professor of medicine level in the Department of Clinical Sciences. The successful applicant will be an outstanding clinician educator who will have a general pathology practice within the HCA community hospital network, to join a multi-disciplinary team of faculty and contribute to the delivery of an integrated undergraduate (M.D.) medical education curriculum at the UCF College of Medicine.
Responsibilities for this position include a clinical pathology role with the UCF partner hospital system, HCA. This will include various HCA hospital locations near the Orlando area, including the UCF Lake Nona Medical Center. This position will also teach pathology-related curriculum in the undergraduate medical education (M.D. program), with content areas that may include cardiopulmonary, reproductive/endocrine, GI/renal, musculoskeletal, neurobiology, hematology/oncology, and histology. The selected candidate will actively collaborate with medical education and clinical faculty in an integrated curriculum that emphasizes innovative and culturally responsive teaching modalities. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have an M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. from an accredited university and be board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Candidates must demonstrate a record of sustained teaching excellence. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure or licensed to practice in the state of Florida and have recent clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have a fellowship in one or more of the following: cytopathology, hematopathology, oncologic, breast, endocrine, or GI pathology, as well as strong general community practice skills. The preferred candidate will also have experience developing curriculum and assessment materials and teaching pathology to preclinical students in the M.D. program.
