What you will Do
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for testing software and firmware for capital equipment and medical devices. This is a critical position within the R&D team providing primarily software testing support in the design, development, and continuous improvement of medical device products, specifically, mobile CT scanners.
You will help ensure that software/firmware project and process control documentation are compliant with established procedures and will be responsible for performing various software verification and validation activities whose main purpose is to facilitate continuous improvement for both existing products and processes, and to support new product/process development activities.
These activities include design verification and validation, design control & documentation, and hands-on software/firmware testing by performing the following duties.
Assists in performing verification and validation testing, primarily in software related projects
Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) to detect and track software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues
Helps enhance current testing processes and procedures to ensure a streamlined process, automate processes where possible using automated tools.
Conduct software/firmware compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
Identifies, analyzes, and reports problems with program function, output, online screen, or content, and test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
Maintains meticulous test logs, tracking issues associated with system performance, and communicating with the concerned team members.
Ensures that each stage of the test plan is executed, and that proper signoff is received upon completion of the test plan.
Develops accurate reports and documenting test results for various stakeholders and for inclusion in the Design History File.
Reviews product requirements for traceability, risk remediation and testability.
Reviews verification and validation deliverables for compliance with regulatory requirements
Reviews software/firmware documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
Provides feedback and recommendations on specific features and designs to developers on software/firmware usability and functionality and participate in formal and informal review to determine quality.
What You Need:
Preferred Bachelor's degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience
Preferred knowledge in Microsoft, Jira, Airo UI
