What you will do:
Work on complex multi-disciplinary projects as part of the IMT (Incubation of Medical Technologies) group. IMT partners with R&D teams across Stryker on cutting-edge projects involving new technologies and/or new business opportunities.
Perform the electrical hardware design on complex embedded systems projects, including those in fields such as robotics, motor control, localization, and high-speed wired/wireless communication
Drive all aspects of circuit board design from concept to prototype to production
Investigate and research new technologies and processes
Work with technical leadership and project management to break down work, schedule tasks, identify technical and project risks, and give project updates
Continually learn/grow through exciting and challenging projects, mentorship from subject-matter experts, and professional development opportunities
Mentor and direct the work of entry-level engineers and interns to gain experience for future technical leadership opportunities
What you need:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) discipline
4+ years of product development experience
Strong proficiency in circuit design fundamentals with experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics
Experience in printed circuit board design processes and software tools for schematic entry, simulation, and board layout
Proven hands-on skills for prototype assembly, rework, board bring-up, and testing/debugging
Strong analytical skills and ability to collect/analyze complex data to solve real-world problems
Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) discipline
4+ years of product development experience in a regulated industry
Knowledge in circuit board manufacturing processes and experience transferring designs to production suppliers
Embedded software development experience including C/C++ or FPGA development
Knowledge in electrical approvals and/or medical device regulations, including best practices for meeting conducted and radiated emissions standards
