Stryker is implementing a transformative program focused on optimizing the Finance function to support business growth and functional scalability. The Technical Accounting team within the Flower Mound Finance Center will focus on supporting product divisions in accounting and reporting for leases, revenue recognition and reserves, acquisitions, and other complex accounting areas.

What you will do
The Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting will have the following responsibilities:
Partner with divisions to migrate accounting processes, reconciliations, internal controls, and other reporting to the Finance Center.
Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency while driving consistency between product divisions.
Perform month-end close functions, ensuring journal entries and reconciliations are completed timely and accurately in accordance with Corporate policy.
Function as an extension of the divisional team, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Assist with GAAP research and preparation of accounting position memos.
Additional responsibilities will evolve as the Finance Center continues to expand, allowing for ongoing professional learning and development.
What you need
3 years experience in Audit, Accounting, or Finance
Solid understanding of GAAP
Proficiency with Excel
Big 4 experience preferred
Experience researching and applying GAAP preferred
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Blackline software preferred
Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently
Fluency in English required
Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce and highly matrixed organization
Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead projects to completion.
