What you will do
The IT Solution Manager, Global Data and Analytics (GDA), DevOps will provide Leadership around execution and delivery of data and analytics projects and product services end to end for GQO business across all the sites and division of Stryker.
The (GDA) Solution Manager, DevOps will have end to end ownership of development, testing ,deployment, maintenance of platform and products of GQO domain to help drive overall strategy and roadmap of Global data analytics for GQO business - This includes platforms, data engineering, data mirroring from enterprise core assets, Analytics platform selection, and Advanced analytics capabilities.
The (GDA) Solution Manager, DevOps will ensure the value and ROIs is achieved as anticipated for every investments and implementation form the outsourced vendor and the overall services are delivered as expressed in the Statement of Work and related exhibits, service levels of the GQO analytics products are maintained and continually improved, and any problems with the day-to-day delivery of services provided by the vendor are minimized.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Works closely with leaders to assist in developing the overall strategy of the GQO analytics product and services and enabling niche area technologies including advance analytics.
Lead and manage solution development and implementation with focus on automation - participate in defining technical standards for the specialty area.
Accountable for the Solution Reviews and driving Design decisions, technical approvals across the application area, and alignment of scope for all type of releases in end to end product lifecycle.
Lead and manage implementation of analytics products GQO business as per Stryker's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes
Responsible for budgeting and estimation for new projects and maintainance of products as well as delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables
Collaborate with other Program teams, IT Business Partners, PMO and external partners for any kind of risk mirigation and meeting project schedules and milestones
Be able to support the business and recommend/provide holistic solutions that integrate the existing technical standards with the business needs and processes
Responsible for choosing the right mathelogy and technology platform for implementing requested solution.
Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies.
Manages and coordinates with external vendor and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics
using visualizations to communicate more complex data relationships and trends.
What you need:
Techno/functional experties in providing application process analysis, architecture and system design, systems development, testing and deployments
Formulating deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability for GQO Analytics platform.
Providing feedback and directions for technical design, prototypes/mock-ups, development, testing and delivery of solutions for release cycles and/or new projects within Global data and anaytics.
Assessing technological risks that could jeopardize the growth and/or operations of the organization; makes recommendations on applications retirement.
Demonstrating expertise in a variety of the systems development concepts, practices, and procedures.
Developing and building robust integration with Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Service Delivery, etc.
Ensuring clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.
Reviewing and Governing business process documents, application and technical specifications, test plans and cutover plans for go-live sites.
Managing resolution and communication of system production support issues with different stakeholders based on Stryker SLA's.
Qualifications & experience:
Bachelor degree in computer science or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of IT experience required.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Data warehousing and Business intelligence tools and technology with a focus on complex business intelligence and data analytics projects including independent problem solving, effective communication with peers and stakeholders at all levels.
Minimum 5 years of IT experience in leading projects, setting priorities and plans to meet business objectives.
Experience of Agile and DevOps method of delivering projects and maintaining product lifecycle
Strong stakeholder management skills with solid track record of technical delivery and operations.
Experience of managing complex project of Data Analytics, building and maintaining core data assets and platforms, data engineering & architecture, data mirroring from enterprise real-time data enablement platforms, Analytics platform selection, deployment, and maintenance, advanced analytics capabilities & resources, and data governance policies, retention periods, compliance, etc.
Critical Thinking: Must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
Demonstrated experience in complex project delivery around Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, information management or data warehousing related projects
Strong understanding of data and analytics tools and technology including open sources
Hands on knowledge of Microsoft Azure analytics stack including Synapses analytics and PowerBI
Knowledge of Azure Marketplace tools for advance analytics
