You will be part of a team responsible for our large complex business unit for Asia Pacific. This role will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements for submission to International Division and Corporate office. You will get a chance to involve and perform a variety of regular and recurring professional accounting functions end-to-end for one or more business, including monitoring accounts, reviewing and analysing documentation, transactions and reconciliation, managing legal entity month end closure and reporting process.
What will you do?
Take the ownership to capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions and reporting end-to-end.
Full knowledge of balance sheet of small entities or a regular recurring process
Work with BPO, oversee, reconcile and resolve problems relative to accounting entries requiring professional knowledge and judgement
Maintain and review accounting process controls, implement any approved modification as directed by management.
Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for Stryker processes or review DTP's prepared by BPO
Test, execute and document internal controls audit programs in accordance to SOX and Corporate policy
Perform accounting month end close procedures, run and analyse financial reports, prepare financial reports for submission to Corporate for consolidations
Recommend, assist, test, or implement process streamlining, system improvements or work flow changes.
Serve as a liaison to local finance and BPO and Identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues
Collect data, information, policies and perform research on details of transactions. Ensure work complies with complex corporate and accounting policies which may require interpretation
Participate as a member of a project team and contribute to change management strategy through communication and collaboration with others.
What are you looking for?
Degree holder in Accounting or Finance with CPA qualication.
Minimum 3 years audit experience in a Big 4 or 5 years of commercial experience in Finance
US GAAP, SOX 404 experience preferred.
Practical knowledge in Hyperion /JDE would be an advantage.
Excellent language skills with proficiency in spoken and written English. Additional language other than Cantonese preferred
Communicative with persuasive skills, able to convey the information clearly and effectively to business partners and outsourced service provider.
High sensitivity to numbers and details.
Quick learner and resourceful self-starter, self-motivated and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
