 Administrative Assistant II SOM: Orthopaedic Surgery Sacramento Campus Department Description The UC Davis Health School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is an academic/clinical department, encompassing several sub-specialties, working to achieve excellence in patient care, teaching, research and public service. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities This position is essential to the overall success of the Department, and indirectly the UC Davis Health System. This position provides administrative and clerical support for the department. Incumbent interacts in a professional manner with patients, interdepartmental staff including campus and UCDMC personnel, multi-disciplinary physicians, Primary Care Network, students, postgraduate residents and fellows, national and international professional organizations, and community, in the role of liaison to faculty. Skills required include an executive level of accountability for a wide range of administrative duties such as coordination, problem solving, judgment, record-keeping, and written and verbal communication, which are critical to the success of the program.
