Job SummaryTo assist with patient care and management under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon. To perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend his/her services. Assists in gathering the data necessary in implementing the diagnosis and, thereby, the therapeutic plan of the surgeon. A major role will be as patient advocate in the medical care system, serving as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients and physicians. Geisinger's Musculoskeletal Institute in the West Region is home to two hospitals and one state-of-the-art multi-specialty clinic and outpatient surgery center located in State College, PA. Our teams provide individualized care plans focused on quality for each patient with comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic foot and ankle, hand and wrist, elbow and shoulder, hip and knee, sports medicine, and trauma.
