This position is in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The position is located at the Mid Campus Center, but is temporarily working remote. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
This position will provide research data retrieval and reporting services to faculty, residents, fellows, and affiliated research staff in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Assists with the maintenance of the department website in addition to support of administrative functions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with orthopaedic research faculty, residents, fellows, and staff to design and develop project specific data entry systems, primarily in REDCap.
Work with other data repositories on campus to obtain research data as requested by orthopaedic research faculty and staff.
Develop and analyze database reports and summaries of data, reviewing accuracy of data with staff to resolve discrepancies.
Participate in the data gathering and preparation of data used in grant and fellowship applications.
Assist with the conversion of older data warehousing systems to newer, reportable systems.
Assist with research center website projects and updates.
Participate in general research center support, including data entry and other special projects as assigned.
Experience with database development and maintenance.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in a Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Health Informatics, Business or similar related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and/or work experience is acceptable.
Experience with web development and management is desired.
Knowledge of grant application process.
Experience with REDCap project development and reporting highly preferred.
Strong personal interaction and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit good problem-solving skills.
Ability to design, analyze and maintain database reports.
Attention to detail.
The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
