Professor And Chair-Neurology, Chattanooga - 20000001F2 Description This position is located in Chattanooga, TN The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Department of Neurology in the College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure Professor and Chair of Neurology position. The UT College of Medicine is one of six colleges that comprise the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. The College of Medicine has three campuses, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, a Family Medicine Program in Jackson, and a satellite unit in Nashville. The COMC includes a Dean as its chief executive officer and Departments of Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Surgery, and Urology. Each of these departments is headed by a chair and each sponsors a residency program. Undergraduate clerkships for third-year medical students are offered by the Departments of Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Orthopaedic Surgery. The faculty of the Departments are comprised of various combinations of geographic tenure-track faculty, strict or geographic full-time faculty, part-time paid faculty, affiliate faculty, and clinical faculty. All full-time and affiliate faculty have multiple responsibilities and expectations with varying combinations in undergraduate and graduate medical education, research, public services, and patient care. Educational, research, and patient care programs of the Chattanooga campus are centered at the affiliate hospital, Erlanger Health System and its component units. A mutually beneficial Affiliation Agreement governs the relationship between the COMC and Erlanger. Responsibilities
Qualifications Qualifications Minimum requirements are an MD or its equivalent, board certification, and rank of Associate Professor or above.
