The Research Associate position will assist both the Orthopaedic Adult Reconstruction (Total Joint Arthroplasty) division and the Orthopaedic Oncology division with their clinical research activities. This position will be responsible for supervision of a Research Assistant assigned to the same divisions. Will also be in charge of study coordination duties for ongoing clinical trials, as well as expected to work with the surgeons on grant proposal preparation. There will be the opportunity for independence in design and implementation of clinical research studies and/or preparation of written manuscripts and, as applicable, regulatory documentation. Independently interacts with external research sponsor representatives as applicable. Exercises judgment in taking independent action, and seeks advice as necessary. Assists in planning experimental design and/or designing research standard operating procedures (SOPs). Assumes responsibility for specific components of research project. emonstrates creativity and problem solving ability. Responsible for training and supervising students and junior staff.
