Location: IU School of Medicine Department: IUSM - Radiology & Imaging Sciences Campus: IU School of Medicine Indianapolis Position Announcement: The Center for Neuroimaging at Indiana University School of Medicine seeks candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow in MRI physics. The Roberts Translational Imaging facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art scanner, Bruker BioSpec 9.4T/30 MRI with PET insert and the capability of simultaneous PET and MRI acquisition. This scanner is one of the two in the world and the only one in the US. The facility could serve not only CTSI investigators from IUSM, Purdue University, and IU-Bloomington, but also across the country. The scanner provides an unprecedented opportunity to perform cutting-edge, high-resolution imaging for neuroscience research, musculoskeletal disorders, and renal diseases. Candidates will have opportunities for collaboration with neurophysiological and psychophysical recording facilities, and clinical collaborations with Psychiatrists, Neuroradiologists, Neurologists, Computer Scientists, and Cognitive Neuroscientists. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. The candidates should have a PhD or MD specifically in Medical Physics, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. We are looking for applicants who are interested in pulse sequence development, image reconstruction, and imaging data analysis. Programming skills in Matlab, Python, C/C++, or parallelization are desirable. Publication record and skills in imaging data processing with software tools (e.g. FSL, ANTs) may play a significant role in candidate selection.
