ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (ACADEMIC POSITION) The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking an expert in Musculoskeletal Digital Health Technology for a full-time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant in the In-Residence Professor series. Faculty in the In-Residence Professor series are individuals who contribute with distinction in the areas of teaching and mentoring, research, University and public service, professional competence, and/or other creative activities. The selected candidate will be expected to conduct investigative work involving the development and advancement of digital technology for improving musculoskeletal health. Specific digital health research areas of interest within our musculoskeletal health academic community include wearable sensors, mobile apps, automated image analysis, and associated predictive analytics. This applicant will collaborate with clinicians on translational research studies that utilize digital technology for better understanding patient health status and improving musculoskeletal health outcomes. This work will lead to publications in peer reviewed journals and independent extramural grant support.
