The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking highly motivated and innovative Physiatrists to join a rapidly growing department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Faculty members will be involved in medical student and resident education, clinical service including inpatient and outpatient care, and quality improvement efforts. Faculty will participate in regular journal clubs, resident didactics and medical student teaching on clinical electives. Collaboration with clinical research is expected for advancement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established program providing services to patients of all ages. Opportunities exist in the following areas:
· Spine – a new interdisciplinary clinic with neurosurgical, orthopaedic surgical, anesthesia/pain and PM&R colleagues
· Neuro-rehabilitation – outpatient and inpatient care: EMG; spasticity management and ultrasound
· Pediatric rehabilitation – fellowship trained pediatric physiatrist to provide inpatient/outpatient clinical care as second physiatrist in Department
We partner with Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Children's Hospital and Medical Center and the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. Residency program has four residents per year and was re-accredited.
Successful candidates must be MD/DO, BC/BE in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with outstanding interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for patient care, medical student and resident education. BC/BE for sub specialty certification in spinal cord injury medicine, brain injury, pediatrics, sports medicine or pain management is desirable.
