The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Research Assistant 2 will assist all Orthopaedic Spine providers with their clinical research activities regarding spine surgery and spine care. The specific duties of this position will include:
Assisting in preparing research grant proposals and submissions
Data collection and analysis
Manuscript production and management of the submission process
Working directly with patients, students, residents, physicians and clinic/hospital staff on a daily basis
Assist with coordination of one national clinical trial, and act as the main point of communication between the Primary Investigator and Sponsor
There is potential for travel and presentations at national Spine and Orthopaedic meetings.
Bachelors Degree / No experience; OR Associate's Degree and 3 years relevant experience
Completion of a statistics course
Typing, editing, proofreading skills
Analytical and detail-oriented
Excellent written communication skills
Prior research experience
Knowledge of IRB processes
Knowledge of EPIC
