The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Rheumatology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will (a) care for pediatric patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings including the University of Chicago Comer Children's ambulatory clinic and offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago, and (b) succeed in a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational and scholarly goals of the Section of Pediatric Rheumatology. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. Nationally recognized for excellent clinical services, the Section of Pediatric Rheumatology comprises three faculty members who specialize in the diagnosis and comprehensive management of children with rheumatic diseases. While we care for children with all rheumatologic diseases, the section has particular focus on Pediatric Lupus and ANCA-associated vasculitis. We are also growing our diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound program. We welcome candidates with educational or research experience in Pediatric Rheumatology and with particular expertise in childhood SLE or musculoskeletal ultrasound; however all Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Rheumatologists are encouraged to apply.
