The University of Washington's Division of Physical Therapy in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine invites applications for one full-time, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure track) with an anticipated start date of April 2020 or soon thereafter. The person selected for this position will join our outstanding interdisciplinary faculty at this top-ranked Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, mentoring, scholarship, and service. The position will teach clinical courses as a lead instructor or as part of a teaching team in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program and engage in ongoing scholarly activities that contribute both to their professional development and expertise as an instructor and to the DPT Curriculum. Candidates will work in a department that values interprofessional collaboration in teaching, service, and scholarship/research. Job duties will include being a lead instructor for a course, participating in curriculum development and student advising.

The ideal candidate will have a post-professional doctoral degree or foreign equivalent or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or foreign equivalent. Candidates should show excellence in clinical competence in multiple areas of physical therapy, especially musculoskeletal physical therapy with experience in teaching content related to physical therapy examination and evaluation of the spine. A minimum of one year of classroom and/or laboratory instruction is required. Candidates must be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a physical therapist in the State of Washington.
