PHYSIATRIST ACADEMIC POSITION The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for a board-eligible or board-certified Physiatrist with experience in the evaluation and nonoperative management of patients with disorders of the spine in an academic and multidisciplinary setting. Additional experience with electrodiagnostics, neuromuscular disorders and gait abnormalities is desired. The incumbent will participate in departmental clinical teaching, and research activities at UCSF sites that include the Orthopaedic Institute at our Mission Bay Campus, and have frequent interactions with surgeons and non-operative faculty as a part of an interdisciplinary team for the management of disorders of the spine. The incumbent will be expected to collaborate in clinical and/or basic research as well as publish subsequent results in peer reviewed journals. The incumbent will also be responsible for and provide an integral role to teach clinically relevant topics for residents as well as medical students and fellows.
